NJ Hookah Lounge Killer Captured In Virginia: Authorities

A 23-year-old fugitive wanted in a New Jersey hookah lounge shooting that left one person dead and two wounded has been captured in Prince William County, authorities said.

Eric Manzanares, of Asbury Park, NJ, had been wanted for murder in the Aug. 27, 2022 killing of 25-year-old Nymere Tinsley, 25, of Brick Township, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

Toms River police responded to Top Tier Hookah Lounge around 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 27, 2022, where they found Tinsley suffering a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen, Billhimer said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Anthony Miller, 29, of Neptune Township, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach, and was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital; while Jamal Bland, 24, of Asbury Park, suffered a gunshot wound to his elbow, and was likewise treated and released.

After an investigation, Manzanares was charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He was being held in the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center in Manassas, pending extradition to New Jersey.
